The mother is a culture of bacteria and yeast similar to the SCOBY used in kombucha brewing. Taking apple cider vinegar in capsule form also avoids the strong taste of liquid vinegar and reduces direct contact between the vinegar and tooth enamel.

The formula combines 500mg of apple cider vinegar with 750mg of Garcinia cambogia, a tropical fruit containing hydroxycitric acid, or HCA.
